UNIFLEX PE™ BACKER ROD is a non-extruding, non-absorbent, highly resilient, bitumen free, closed cell polyethylene backing rod designed as a backing material for cold-applied elastomeric joint sealants to create a watertight & airtight seal, to provides support and accurate depth measurement for subsequent joint sealant materials for expansion and movement joints in concrete, brick work, block work and masonry.
UNIFLEX PE™ BACKER ROD is bitumen free, rot proof and has high compression & recovery therefore accommodating thermal and other structural movements, without the risk of load transfer or reflective cracking through the designed joint.
UNIFLEX PE™ BACKER ROD is using in construction projects speeds up curing times and allows the building materials to flex, move and bend in response to environmental factors like heat, cold, wind, humidity or UV light.
